Can I take chlorthalidone 25 mg daily and Chlonidine .1 3x a day for high bp. Hw effective are these two medications when used together?
I am on 10mg of Ramipril & 5mg of Amolodipine Besylate. I was on 25mg of Chlorthalidone, but didn't like the way it made me feel. I tend to still average around 141/84 with a pulse around 75-80. Is there a better medication?
Individual tailoring: Many combinations available. You need to go through an iterative process of trial and error with various medications. Best thing to do is to continue working with your health care prof and also to take home BP measurements so there is good data on which ...Read more

Taking 12.5mg chlorthalidone, but my potassium is 3.2meq/l. My pcp is not concerned, and dismisses it. I have resistant hypertension.
Low K on CTD: 61 F on chlorthalidone and has K of 3.2 and had "drug" resistant HTN. You need to be tested for Conn's Syndrome as this is the most likely cause of drug resistant HTN esp with low K.
