Trying to concieve, period due 22nd sep, took preg test last night (sep16th) and negative. Is this too early to test? I feel tight in my lower abdomin.
Too Early: Sensitive commercially available urine pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy p to 4 days prior to your period due date. Thus, it is too early to test this way. You should wait until your period due date to test or have a blood test. If you do test and it's negative, and if you miss your period, you should retest in a week. ...Read more

Urologist: This is a case for a urologist. Medications like flomax (tamsulosin) are helpful in bladder neck problems. Urethral abnormalities, overactive bladder problems, prostate dysfunction all are possibilities here. I'm not sure what tests have been done, but a urologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you about diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more
My mother has reported feeling tightness in her stomach several times in the last year. She has a hiatal hernia, tests haven't found anything else.
Recurrent, lower-right-side pain. A dull, tight feeling. Had several blood tst, a CT scan, and ultrasound with no explanation. I get hives sometimes. Could this be my liver? Would the test miss that?
Should I continue to worry about stomach pain/tightness if ultrasound is clear, urea breath test is negative, doc & gastro says nothing?
Need reassurance: It's normal to be concerned about your health, and to worry why you feel bad. Whatever the cause, you're appropriately anxious. Further testing may alleviate your concern, particularly if/as "bad things" are ruled out and your test results repeatedly prove negative. Of course, another medical opinion may be helpful too. ...Read more

Maybe...: If you're indicating your epigastrium (just below the ribs in the midline), then you may have peptic disease (e.G ulcer, gerd, reflux) or contractions or delayed emptying of the gut in that location (stomach, mid-colon). Less likely (& appropriate to symptom duration, intensity, timing, risks) your gallbladder or pancreas may be sick. Best to get checked. ...Read more

Possibly: Sudafed is pseudoephedrine, which has some similar activities on the parasympathetic (involuntary) nervous system; it may increase the pulse, increase blood pressure (usually at higher doses than 30mg); it's possible that in some people it may increase peristaltic movements of the bowel muscles, and thereby cause some bloating and a sensation of tightness. ...Read more

Muscle spasm: The stomach will produce visceral pain. Because of its close proximity to the body wall it can then produce somatic pain and muscle spasm.
