Tests For Armpit Swelling
Swelling is the enlargement of organs, skin, or other body parts. It is caused by a buildup of fluid in the tissues. The extra fluid can lead to a rapid increase in weight over a short period of time (days to weeks). Swelling can occur all over the body (generalized) or only in one part ...Read more

Lymph nodes swollen for 4 years both side of groin. Blood test normal. Is this of concern? Help please
Not of concern: If the lymph nodes have stayed stable for four years, you do not need to be concerned about these. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more
Causes a pea size painful cervial lymph node, no infection present. Lots myofascial neck pain and shoulder pain and swelling on that side. Normal CBC, C-spine MRI, ultrasound done 6 months ago. Any other tests tests would be helpful?
Probably normal: Small lymph nodes (like pea-size) are normal. Most likely it was inflamed and maybe now scarred from some distant past infection. Probably unlreated to your pain problem. Check with your doctor if you remain concerned -- but if she reassures you all is well, then no more tests or exams will be necessary. ...Read more
What can cause arms and legs worsening pain and stiffness for weeks? Bilateral swollen axillary lymph nodes for months without infection.
Get checked. : Arm & leg pain & stiffness for weeks (you're talking about the joints, & no sports or overuse injuries, right?) suggests arthritis or an autoimmune issue: that needs a checkup to sort out. Persistent nontender axillary nodes are also problematic. We could talk all day about "possibilities"; but you need an in-person evaluation in order to get the help you need. Hope that helps. ...Read more

Lymphadenitis: Lymph nodes are the body's second line of defense against infection. They swell with inflammation, trying to fend off bacteria and other types of invasion including some types of cancer. If you have been sick recently or if you have some sort of infection near the affected nodes, that's probably the cause and the nodes will return to normal size in a few weeks. If you're not sure, see your doctor ...Read more
What would cause right side minor swelling, pain, and tenderness in hip lasting for months. Clean blood tests and ultrasound. No pain when walking?
Further tests: I can't find any reports of side effects from either medicine that might cause this. You should obtain a referral to a physiatrist (if you have not already done so). An MRI may be more revealing. Sometimes, low grade, but persistent, problems require repeat studies before the answers become apparent. ...Read more
I have a swollen lymph node in the neck for two months now, fna biopsy negative of lymphoma. Breast and armpit sore and neck pain what is this?
Is their any other tests to get diagnosis for my case after positive ANA test, leukocytosis, sever joint pain and itchy skin patches ?
Positive ana: There are many other tests that can help confirm a diagnosis. Additional blood tests to determine the exact antibody that is causing the positive ANA should be done. A skin biopsy may be indicated. It is possible that your doctor has already arrived at a diagnosis from your constellation of symptoms. ...Read more
Swollen lymph nodes through out for 6months Seen an allergist/rheumatologist/ent.no one can tell me why. Sore lumps developed on ribs. Biopsy needed?
I have swollen node in groin and neck for 3 months, and otitis externa. Also swollen knee. Cbc normal. Gynecologist results normal?
Hard to say: You would certainly want to be thoroughly evaluated. The lymph system is the filter system for the bloodstream and so systemic thing like infection can cause swollen nodes as you have described. If workup for infection is negative, a rheumatologist might be able to shed further light on the source. Thank you for your question. ...Read more
Why my doc didn't ask for biopsy for enlargement neck lymph nodes for 4 months
CBC is normal
Chest X-ray is normal
No other symptoms?
They're your friends: If the nodes are stable, not fixed to surrounding structures, not of a consistency that suggests disease, and you do not have obvious systems of Hodgkin's disease (the one real concern here), leave them alone. Every young guy has a few. They protect you and cutting around the lymph circulation will just make a mess. It's not worth it ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Both sides of inguinal nodes in my groin are swollen and painful. No other symptoms. Blood tests inconclusive. Dr. order pelvic ultrasound. RiskofSTD?
Maybe: This used to happen to me in the summers from going barefoot in the country. The sexually transmitted disease of concern would be lymphogranuloma venereum -- which is quite uncommon. Glad the labs were unremarkable. This isn't usually a sign of pathology in your internal pelvic organs, but the ultrasound isn't unreasonable. This might be something just to watch. Best wishes. ...Read more

Can lymph nodes swell infrequently ? I've been to the doc for neck swelling and arm pit pain but 4 docs have said they feel no swelling any ideas ?
Yes, and several: Lymph nodes part of our immune defense system for virus, microorganisms & cancer. About 1% of blood plasma (water) which departs arterial-end of capillaries is not picked back up at venous-end, body wide. Lymph vessels return this excess water (& whatever is in the water) from around cells back into the blood stream. Lymph nodes, full of white blood cells, remove items/cells recognized not healthy. ...Read more
