Transdermal: Enzyme that converts testosterone into Dht (too much is associated w/hair loss & enlarged prostate) is found in hair follicles. Typical branded topical testosterone is very dilute and requires application over larger surface area, thus increasing dht. Injectable t is less likely to do so unless you spike levels by injecting once monthly (or your body has propensity to convert t into dht). ...Read more
Why does watson testosterone cypionate mfg not work as good as Depo-Provera testosterone cypionate?
USA model?: Manufactured in usa by upjohn and watson. If not a counterfeited product, i would think both should work about the same. I did see one non-professional website that claimed that "it takes longer for the watson form to take effect, " but I do not know if this is true or not. Also get your levels checked after you are started on this. If the level is good, your symptom control should be good. ...Read more

Interesting question: I have not found any publications specifically studying this question. Antipsychotics and Prozac (fluoxetine) can affect prolactin, potentially changing sex hormone levels. This may or may not relate to shbg levels, though. I did find one small (20 patients) study online concerning low testosterone levels and antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction: http://tinyurl.Com/mk84cfr further research needed. ...Read more
Effexor (venlafaxine) ; endocrine: Effexor (venlafaxine) can cause sexual dysfunction, but not through direct endocrine pathways. It disinhibits the descending serotonin pathway from the brain stem through the spinal cord to neurons mediating spinal reflexes such as ejaculation and orgasm.
