Testosterone Levels Circumcised Uncircumcised Men
Lower than young men: I know, not the answer you wanted, but it's true. When looking at large groups of men, older men tend to have lower t levels than younger men. But there are also some older men w/higher t than some younger men & vice versa. Normal reference ranges also depend upon lab, equipment used & test ordered. Individual results vary w/time of day. More important than typical t level is how you feel.See 1 more doctor answer
Pituitary or testes?: In general, one can think of low testosterone as either being due to dysfunction in the pituitary ("master gland"), or the testes themselves. Checking pituitary hormones (prolactin, lh, fsh) can distinguish between these two categories, and let your doctor determine whether scanning is needed. Illness and narcotic drugs will alter pituitary function, while alcohol injures the testes to cause low t.See 2 more doctor answers
No: Does not alter testosterone levels. Does lower psa levels.
Definitely maybe!: As far as I can tell, this has not been researched in humans so no one really knows. There is evidence taurine raises testosterone in rats, but that does not mean it will do so in humans; the doses used were equivalent to 15 grams/day but lower amounts may help. However, Taurine has many other proven benefits. See https://www. Anabolicmen. Com/taurine-testosterone/ and http://tinyurl. Com/hpdlzgl
Taurine: Please go to a nearby library and read the several articles about Taurine. Some folks will like this others won't. Read a lot and decide please!
Do men release testosterone when they ejaculate? Do testosterone levels come down by frequent ejaculation?
Can low testosterone level s be increased in young men of age around 20 or medicines are to be taken throughout life? Will I be normal again ever?
Levels: It is important that testosterone levels be assessed on 2 separate occasions early in the morning. Treatment will depend on those levels. Testosterone replacement is not without its risks, with fertility being a serious concern in a young man. A visit with a doctor familiar with trt and male fertility is recommended.
How much do testosterone levels vary in young men throughout the day. Should the levels always stay in the "normal" range. Free testosterone blood test was low but at 3:30pm, had two tests both low.
Would there happen to be any evidence of red yeast coffee boosting the testosterone levels of men?
Are there any studies out there that show the actual testosterone levels of men with one testicle Vs two? I hear docs say "remain normal"lets seeproof
It's true: Men that have 1 testicle removed for tumors have normal levels of T for their age.
No: No relationship as there's a wide range of normal for testosterone. What's important is what's normal for you. There's no reason to seek bragging rights for testosterone. However, what's low t for one person might be just fine for someone else. In that case, guy w/lower t might have less sex drive. Don't forget barry bonds - too much t can be converted into Estradiol which can shut down libido.
Do men have depression less frequently than women because of higher testosterone levels? I've read low testosterone can cause depression?
Another tricky Q: By livelihood I assume you mean salary or some productivity measure at work. Earlier this year, my cousin pointed out that wall street traders were looking for t supplementation to boost their performance (http://bit. Ly/xqjexf). A few years ago, a study purportedly demonstrated that t affects risk taking behavior in wall street traders. In sum, low t might decrease (work) performance.
Is testosterone level - 4, 3 ng/ml (ref. 2, 5 — 10, 3) concidered average or low? I'm 28 years old. What T level at this age should have a healthy man?
What's normal: As you can see the normal range for testosterone is quite broad. Typically T levels are highest at 8am in the morning and that is the proper time for it to be checked. This is due to normal hormonal circadian rhythm. As long as the T level is within the normal range it is typically normal. Symptoms consistent with low t level include decreased sex drive, decreased morning erections and ED.
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: As long as appropriate screening for latent prostate cancer is performed, then older men can safely take it if they need it. Interestingly, there are new studies that suggest safety in localized cancer w/low gleason scores during active monitoring but this should definitely be discussed w/your uro-oncologist. But final answer is yes, men of any age w/low t can be treated safely w/benefit.See 1 more doctor answer
