Testosterone Injections (Overview)

Testosterone (t) injections are one of least expensive means of boosting one's testosterone level. Oil-based t cypionate & t enanthate are best given in muscle (buttocks or thighs) at least weekly to minimize ups & downs since half-life of this version is 7-10 days. If you get a shot every 2-4 weeks, your peak levels will be much higher than necessary & your trough (lowest) level will be too low.

Which is more effective? Testosterone injection or androgel?

Gel vs injection: Testosterone replacement therapy, or trt, can be done with shots (typically administered every 2-3 weeks) or a daily application of a gel or cream. Both methods are fda-approved. Shots increase t levels rapidly and taper off slowly until the next shot. The topical method, in my opinion, is superior in that it mimics more closely how t is secreted naturally by your body. ...Read more

Too much t and a largely fluctuating t can have side effects also. The body has a wavey rise and fall daily. ...Read more
