Does a person get STD if he did protected intercourse and protected oral sex? My right testicle vein is swelling and pelvic pain also for 8 months?

Does a person get STD if he did protected intercourse and protected oral sex? My right testicle vein is swelling and pelvic pain also for 8 months?

See MD: While protected sex is the best way to prevent stds, there are still some that can be transmitted and sometimes "user error" allows transmission of an std. That said, it is unlikely you got one assuming everything was done using protection. What does concern me is pain & swelling for 8 months - see your doctor! While it may not be an std, something isn't right and needs to be checked out! ...Read more

Swelling of the right testicle, swelling comes and goes, some discomfort, but goes away when swelling does!

Hernia? Need to get: Checked, a few things come to mind when I read your description. It could be something called a hydrocele or a varicocele, which cause some intermittent swelling but not usually discomfort. More concerning is the possibility of an indirect hernia. Can gastritis cause swelling and pain in one testicle?

No: You might have another problem. You could have epididymitis/orchitis, an infection in the testicle. This should be treated immediately with antibiotics. Fluid around a testicle, or hydrocele, shouldn't be painful, but is another cause of swelling. Hydroceles may be watched and unless they become large. ...Read more

I have slight pain in my left testicle with slight swelling, I am worried that it is a torsion. Is it?

Testalgia: Torsion of the testis is indeed an emergency. If you really feel that this is a possibility, get examined at once in an er. I might add that "slight" pain and "slight swelling" are usually not indicative of torsion. More often this is frome epididymtis, which should also be evaluated by a physician but is usually traeated with antibiotics. ...Read more

Every once in a while I get a mild pain on my left testicle. I don't notice any swelling of any sort. What could this be?

Multiple things: The differential diagnosis for testicular pain is very broad and can include pain referred from the groin from hernias or structural problems with the spermatic cord. Immediate pain that does not subside is an emergency. Even without swelling, a serious cause is a possibility, and testicular pain warrants an examination by a urologist, basic urine and blood tests, and a sonogram of the testicle. ...Read more

Sensitive testicles: There is no medical condition or concern with symptoms only when you touch something on your body and at no other time.
