Dr. Kalish Kedia answered:

Can I reduce my testosterone by getting a vasectomy or testicle removal surgery?

No and yes

Testosterone
Your testosterone will not lower after having a vasectomy but definitely your testosterone will go down after removal of both testes. If you only remove one testis tester one level will remain the same and will not go down as long as the remaining testis is normal

Surgery should be sa

Chemotherapy
For all practical purposes your health is good for any surgery. Just get a routine check up to make sure that your health is otherwise fit for surgery. Testicular cancer is cured by now yet you should get a chest x-ray and blood work up to get a clearance for surgery. Of course you need to know that Hair transplant surgery for baldness is still some what controversial in terms of its cost effectiv

Testicle removal: what are the consequences!?

Testicle removal

Testicle_removal
If only one testicle is removed, and the other is normal, the consequences should be minimal, mostly esthetic. If both are removed, then you get into loss of testosterone production which can cause loss of sexual desire, impotence, muscle mass loss, depression.

What are the consequences of testicle removal?

See below...

Testicles
If the other testicle is normal, not many! Most men with one functional testicle can father children and produce enough testosterone so as not to have a diffence from having two. Cosmetic appearance of only having one can bother some men, but this too can be remedied with a simple implant procedure. I suugest you see an urologist.

Unusual

It is very unusual for an infection of the testicle or epididymis to require removal of the testicle, or orchiectomy. Usually, even the most severe cases will resolve with antibiotics, although some cases can take weeks to fully recover. Good luck!

Barring any other postoperative complications most Surgeons would grant patients the green light to resume all previous activities after six weeks of recuperation. Speak with your surgeon to get his recommendation for your case.
