How can one accurately test to see if MRSA is completely gone after taking meds, oinment, etc? The wound is healed but what is required? Blood test?
When a person test positive for MRSA them tests negative how is it possible for them to test postive again? What precautions need to be taken?

My dad has MRSA and I've been in contact with him . been sick for months and the basic cell count come out negative they won't do MRSA blood test ?
Blood cultures?: If you want doctors to do blood cultures for MRSA there has to be a good clinical indication for this, and without knowing what is going on with you and examining you there is no way to comment on this. What do you mean by "sick for months"? MRSA infection is not likely to go on for months untreated. You would likely die of this. You need to have discussion with the doctor. ...Read more
