What other medical tests can I do to find out the reason for extreme fatigue at young age? Tested for anemia, thyroid problems, had heart echo &ecg
No tests: Your situation warrants an in-person evaluation, however, your fatigue may be a symptom of depression. One way for you to help yourself is to start exercising. It may sound counter-intuitive, but gradual exercise, as tolerated will make you feel better. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

If it is acute with symptoms and ekg suggestive of heart attack, the person is admitted to the hospital for blood tests and proper treatment by the cardiologist either invasively or by meds. ...Read more

How accurate is a completed cardiac stress test in ruling out heart problems in a person with no personal or family history of heart disease?
Not very...: It looks like you are trying to predict a cardiac event in someone with a low probability of cardiac disease (a healthy person) the best example i can use is this. Can an eye exam predict a car crash? In people with normal eyes, probably not. But if the people you are all testing have eye problems, that eye test is much more predictive. Low vs ?Higher Value: Stress tests only capable of detecting very advanced disease, ?chances of heart attack & do nothing to solve issues (i quit doing these 1995). Angiogram with PTCA option has risks (usually small) but can see problems & offers opportunity to open arteries & decrease symptoms at same time. The bigger issues are optimizing lipoproteins (nmr particle test), hba1c & bp, etc. To ??? disease progression. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
