Yup: I'm not impressed... I like the idea of having a test which easily tells you if your HCG level is high enough to see a normal pregnancy on ultrasound or if levels are going up, but this test has too broad a range, still needs to be interpreted, and is not easy to figure out. It's easier to see your doc if you have a high risk pregnancy that requires early detection & evaluation. Good luck. ...Read more

Normal heart rate: A normal heart rate is between 60 and 90 beats per minute. It can vary slightly depending upon race, gender, age, and smoking status. Degree of physical fitness is also a factor since there are plenty of people who are very physically fit with a heart rate of 50. Some risk: Aside from family history the biggest risk factors are male age 45 or over(female 55 or over), smoking cigarettes, hypertension and HDL less than 40. Dealing with fear: Good medicine goes much deeper than numbers. The very fact that you have what you rightly characterize as "anxiety" (i.e., concern that is interfering with you doing the things you like to do) warrants a physician's office visit, and probably (since the focus is cancer) endoscopy from both ends to allay your concerns. The 'scope artists won't miss a cancer that's symptomatic. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
