Is oral Lamisil worth taking despite the possible side effects?  What's the worst that could happen if I don't treat my toenail fungus?

Maybe: Lamisil (terbinafine) is actually a much safer drug than people think. The risk of liver problems is really quite small. I do, however, recommend a baseline blood test (liver profile and complete blood count) prior to starting with a repeat test about 6 weeks into the therapy. Normal course of treatment for toenails is 3 months. ...Read more

I was on terbinafine for two weeks 250mg now I'm Having pain in my sides. is liver damage common with only two weeks of terbinafine? I'm worried. Sometimes I would double a dose if I missed a dose but never had history of liver problems before

See DR: Significant liver toxicity from terbinafine is rare. Your symptoms are probably something else. No harm from missed doses, no need to double dose. Why taking it? How long do you plan to continue? Do not take if you already have active hepatitis. ...Read more
