See below:: Possibly yes, but it happening on both sides at the same time is uncommon. It could be a number of other things in a 35 yo female, like rheumatoid. Understanding: These symptoms certainly seen in many rheumatic disease with lupus on the list. Many immune symptoms are frustrating but also can be treated. I certainly rec seeing a rheumatologist for a full evaluation and treatment if you have not gone yet. Please try to have patience since medications may take a few weeks to a couple months to be quite helpful but you will feel better. ...Read more

One condition that: Can show up as pain between fingers in the web is tendonitis or trigger digit of either finger on the palm side in the flexor tendon. Pain can seem to be in the web but actually the palm may be tender near the finger palm crease. Can tendonitis/tendonosis cause fingers to feel stiff ? Been checked for RA and that's clear.

Unlikely: A tendonitis of the hand would cause pain, swelling and tenderness along the flexor tendon of usually one finger. A stenosing tenosynovitis would cause a trigger finger. Isolated stiffness as a symptoms would not be a symptom. Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, which usually causes numbness and tingling in the hand, can occasionally present itself just with numbness in the thumb and index finger. ...Read more
