Tendons: The real question is why are your tendons short. The condition treatment may be as simple as physical therapy all the way to surgical options. You need a full work up to figure it out. I have a painless lump on my anterior tibialis ligament and my Achilles tendon on my left foot. No trauma. What could it be.
When I stretch my left leg I get a stinging pain in my heel. I broke my left ankle some years back and pulled the ligaments and tendons in my foot.
Think back...: Although the first thought may be to link the past ankle and foot trauma to your heel pain now. One can never be to sure about these things as there may be a some involvement with your back, specifically, the lower spine. This also could be the true reason for the heel pain. To get to nitty gritty, so to speak, a thorough lower back and leg evaluation is needed. ...Read more
Will at CT scan show ligament/tendon damage? I had bimoeallar ankle factures, would it show the damage to the soft tissue structures of the foot?
Had MRI results back showed no broken bones which I already knew from xrays but does this mean it's ligaments and tendon damage as it's painful, swelling on and off and also collapsing on side of foot?
Possibly yes: MRI can show soft tissue injury (ligaments/tendons). It would be helpful to know if your MRI mentioned injury to tendons or ligaments. Most of the time they will show "sprains" of ligaments or tendons which are "micro" tears in the fibers or ligaments or tendons. With the symptoms you are having it is very possible you may have a sprain. You should follow up with your doctor if you are not better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I twisted my foot 3 weeks ago on a rock. xray shows no fracture but likely tendon and ligament damage. I am unable to walk properly without pain. ?
Book in to see GP: Hi, sorry to hear this. Most simple ankle sprains are at least starting to improve by three weeks. I would book in to see your GP. Repeat clinical examination is needed as a minimum to look for signs of other problems such as a fracture, peroneal tendon problem or cartilage injury. It could be that further X-Rays or an MRI scan are required depending on what is found. Hope it settles soon. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
