Tenderness Of Sides Of Nose
My face is swollen beside my nose on one side. I was fine last night. Only other symptom is a tender front tooth. How serious is this?
Possible Abscess: The tender tooth needs to be evaluated. There's a very strong possibility there is an abscess, either from a necrotic nerve or periodontal issues. If so, it is serious. Need to see a dentist immediately since infections like this can travel quite quickly to other parts of your body. ...Read more

Hi my nose has been tender between my nostrils on the soft part. Now it has formed a pimple like bump on the inner left side and hurts. Help!
After tweezing a pimple in my nose i now have swelling on the same side in the sinus. Very tender..How can I reduce swelling? Are they full of blood?
Possible: If the tweezer had infection and you broke the skin inside your nose you may have transferred more infection of a different type than the original abscess had in it. If the pus came out and now it has refilled with blood and pus , it may be an infected hematoma. (both blood and infection.) let your doctor take a look and start the treatment. Otherwise sinus swelling can also include allergies. ...Read more
The right side of my nose is very tender like if it was black and blue but isn't. This started yesterday and caused a headache. I do take an over-the-counter nasal decongestant because my nose always feels stuffed up if i don't. Yesterday morning i woke
It : It is unclear on whether your otc decongestant is a nasal spray or pill. If it is a spray, i agree with dr. Funari that useage beyond 3-5 days can lead to rebound congestion ( rhinitis medicamentosa) and actually worsen your condition. If your nasal decongestant is in pill form (i.e., Pseudoephedrine containing) this will not create that type of condition. I also can not be sure where your tenderness is, but a common cause of nasal tenderness on the inside of the lower 1/3 of the nose ( nostril area ) is vestibulitis, or inflammation around a nasal hair follicle or oil gland. To be sure, and help with your nasal breathing difficulties, i would seek the advice of an ent. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hi I was given a nose spray for allergy a month ago now I have irritating cough with mucus production and tender gland under chin on right side?
Unrelated: It is unlikely that the nose spray is causing your cough or tender glands. I suspect that you may be suffering from a right sided (maxillary?) sinusitis and thus the cough. However you should get examined by your doctor to make sure that you don't have asthma as well since allergic rhinitis not infrequently progress to allergic asthma. ...Read more

Had 3 hard lumps possibly lymph nodes on back of hand(tender), below my nose(tender) and on the side of my neck(not tender) for 1 wk. Is it lymphoma?
Have cold.Stuffy head/runny nose and sore throat. Can feel a lymph node on left side of neck which is a little tender. Is the node just from the cold?
Reactive lymph node: It is not uncommon to have enlargement of one or several lymph nodes around the head and neck area when suffering from an infection such as a cold. The inflamed lymph nodes may increase and fluctuate in size over a few days and be quite painful. They typically become less painful and smaller 1-2 weeks after the infection. Large (> 2 cm) or persistently growing nodes should be evaluated. ...Read more
