Not unusual.: It would not be unusual to feel off the day after a colonoscopy, either from the procedure itself or from the anesthetic. Today might be a wash, but if you're still not right tomorrow then you may want to let your Gastroenterologist know. ...Read more

Yes: May just be gas/irritation of colon from procedure. If no better in a few days, or if gets worse , or you have pain, vomiting or fever, see a doctor. Good luck! ...Read more

Colonoscopy.: it is not unusual to have some gassiness and to not yet have had a bowel movement on the second day after a colonoscopy. However, it is not normal to have any bleeding afterwards. ?spastic colon: Your intestines could be spasming after passing hard stool.Ibs aka irritable bowel syndrome can cause cramping in the lower abdomen. It can be severe. Review your fiber intake and make dietary changes. Review your GI hygiene. Are you resisting the urge to go when your body gives you the cue? Discuss with GI MD: We can not answer without knowing more details of the cause of your sigmoid colon to be removed, the pain may be related to the underlying condition and even with normal cat scan you may need further testing like colonoscopy?
