Tender Left Lower Abdomen After Colonoscopy
I had a colonoscopy yesterday with a biopsy. I am feeling mild discomfort and pain in my lower abdomen. Is this normal after such procedure?
Is it common to have on-off, sharp sore pain under the ribs and upper left part of the abdomen, with no other symptoms 3days post normal colonoscopy?
Two days posted colonoscopy still gassy and having pain cramps in lower abdomen not severe also no bm yet tried to go yesterday mucus with tan blood?
Colonoscopy.: it is not unusual to have some gassiness and to not yet have had a bowel movement on the second day after a colonoscopy. However, it is not normal to have any bleeding afterwards. Sigmoid removed in 2012 for diverticulitis.Constant pain in lower abdomen since.Ct and colonoscopy normal. Gi says IBS but had for years. Not IBS pain?
Discuss with GI MD: We can not answer without knowing more details of the cause of your sigmoid colon to be removed, the pain may be related to the underlying condition and even with normal cat scan you may need further testing like colonoscopy?
