When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Myths: No. Please review your health class lessons. A fetus is not connected to its mother for about fourteen days after conception. The mother's body has no symptoms from pregnancy until this time when the fetus is big enough to be sharing blood and chemicals with her. True early pregnancy is symptom free. Monitoring the cervix is a complete waste of time and energy! ...Read more

My cervix is high soft milky and wet. The day before my period is due is this a sign of early pregnancy.
Hello my cervix is soft, high up, and tiltED back. I have been trying to conceive do you believe that is a sign of pregnancy?
Nope.: Usually the cervix is only useful as an indication of pregnancy on visual inspection and classically it appears bluish in early pregnancy. Nevertheless the best way to determine if you are pregnant or not is with a simple home urine pregnancy test. Head to the pharmacy and pick up one designed to detect early pregnancy. Most test kits have 2 or 3 per box so you can recheck in a few days if needed. ...Read more

Acid reflux, semi-hardened cervix, random mild stomach pains within last month or two, could it be signs of early pregnancy?
Hard to tell: It can be hard to guess whether a woman is pregnant or not. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), 1 week after missing a period, or after 1 week after having a "weird" period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. ...Read more

4 dpo, Sore breasts/nipples, heavy feeling in uterus, high cervix, milly whit discharge...could these be early pregnancy signs? Or just pms?
Hmmm...: There are no pregnancy signs 4 days after ovulation (if the egg was fertilized, the body doesn't know it yet, as the egg is just a few cells and floating downstream). If one is having pregnancy signs, they would be from a pregnancy created earlier, such as last month or the month before. ...Read more

Hi Doc My wife had Ist IUI on 15July & on 16 there was a white discharge, now she is having breast tenderness? Are these sign of pregnency or something
Yes: A cervical length of 2.5cm or longer is strongly reassuring against a preterm delivery. It's good news. The decrease from 4.3 to 3.1 cm isn't necessarily worrisome. Cervical lengths can hangs from 1 reading to the next (ex: it could be >3.1cm at next measurement). If you r cramping or bleeding then you need to have a new eval for that, but 3.1cm is very good. ...Read more
