Ten Cell 3day Transfer Whar Are The Chances Of Success
Had IVF 2 day transfer of 3 embryos: a 2 cell, a 4 cell, and a 1 cell. The 2 & 4 cell were the highest grade. What is my chance of success? I'm 41.
Ask your doc: Each clinic determines their own success rates. Pregnancy rates vary considerably from clinic to clinic. For example, we always transfer on day 3 and day 5, so i would have trouble giving you a comparable success rate. However, in general, embryos should be 4 cells on day 2 and the smaller embryos are likely of lower quality. The us national average for 41 yo = 12%. Best wishes. ...Read more

we had 2 embryos transferred on day 2.
One is 6 cell embryo and other is 2 cell embryo., gud grade
Could you please let us know the chances of pg?
Less than 50%: Here in the U.S. we perform either day 3 embryo transfers (ETs) or day 5 embryo transfers. Probably 90+% of the ETs here are day 5. So you having a day 2 ET is a little odd. I would say that the 6 cell embryo gives you a much better chance to conceive than the 2 cell. Also, you're at a very good age for IVF. Still, with these 2 embryos I would estimate your chance at around 40% to conceive. ...Read more

Will a chest+abd+pelvis CT w/ contrast (for cancer surveillance) right before frozen embryo transfer affect chance of FET success and fetal health?
What is the success rate of leep for removing abnormal cells? Does having a leep affect future pregnancy in any way?
It depends on stage: If the HPV abnormal cells are stage CIN III (highest pre-cancer stage ) then LEEP does not always remove the cells in the inner part of the cervix. Often another procedure type is recommended in that case. LEEP can damage the inner cervix when healed which can cause higher rates of miscarriage or pregnancy loss with future pregnancies. Cryotherapy or LEEP are usually recommended for CIN II or less ...Read more

What is the pregnancy success rate of d5 xfer of 8 cell embryo, if D3 biopsy showed normal xx genetics. Also, did D3 biopsy affect embryo growth rate?
Pretty good: First, if a LEEP is considered for cervical dysplasia, it is GRADE 3 not STAGE 3. Staging is for invasive cancer, so don't confuse them because that is much scarier. If a LEEP gets around the entire abnormal area, it will essentially cure it. If there is more going up the endocervix, it may not. It may still come back and every situation is different, but if margins negative high chance of cure. ...Read more

On 2nd round of Clomid (clomiphene) 100 mg( 3-7) along with injection merional for 5 days ( cd 8-12). Why this injection for 5 days? What are the chances of success
Depends: It depends on the causes of your infertility. However, I have concern about your Clomid (clomiphene) dose. It is too high, and it will have detrimental effect on your endometrium. I am afraid that you may ovulate well, but embryo may not able to implant due to thin lining. In terms of5 days injection, it is ok , but i don't think it will change the outcome that much. ...Read more

Depends: Chance of preg depends on many factors. Is your partner's sperm count normal? Are your tubes open? What is your amh level? With unexplained infertility (ie tests show no problems) the preg rate is 2% per cycle for Clomid (clomiphene) with intercourse and 10%+ for Clomid (clomiphene) with insemination. Your chance of achieving twins is 5-8%. If you do not ovulate regularly then chance of success is about 2o%. ...Read more
Is there medical data to substantiate the fact that acupuncture could improve the chances of success in IVF treatments?
No: There is no good data. Overall the data show no benefit.
