BP med?: If the patient has angina, a beta-blocker may be the agent of choice, not necessarily oxenoprolol. If the patient has proteinuria, then either fosinopril (F) or telmisartan (T) would be excellent choices to reduce both the blood pressure. Started taking Hydrochlorothiazide 3 days ago for HBP, and it makes my vision blury and sensitive to light, are these normal side effects? I'm 21

I would tell your physician (P) about your problem and see if the H can be changed for another BP medicine. I would also ask him to consider you to have secondary hypertension. All diuretics will may you lose potassium, sodium and magnesium. B and l are stronger than hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) and can be used in patients with chronic kidney disease where hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) will be ineffective.
