Take cymbalta (duloxetine) 60, lamictal 100, tegretol 600, klonopin 2.5 for OCD and mood..Is this a safe combination..And is 60 the usual dose for cymbalta (duloxetine)?
Seems fine: These dosages seem to be workable although it is an intense combination of mood stabilizers. The dose of duloxetine at 60 mg is at the usual amount for the treatment of a mood disorder although higher dosages are thought to be potentially helpful for the treatment of chronic pain. Klonopin 2.5...Cymbalta (duloxetine) 60...Lamictal 100...Tegretol 600..I am treated for ocd/bipolar...Does this sound like a strange or normal combination?

For ocd, i would first go to an ssri. Lamictal and tegretol can both be good choices; what matters is, is each one helpful? Discuss with your doctor and good luck ! ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Most likely never: While each of these medications have some potential to affect liver function tests - it being greatest in Tegretol - most of the changes tend to be benign(or harmless). I would worry to much, particularly if you doctors continue to monitor this periodically. Best of luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probably often early: In adults, because of adverse affects, like temporary loss of blood platelets, blood testing is done frequently during the first few months, and them 3-4 times a year. It is important to know that stable concentrations of this drug are attained 2 to 3 weeks after it is started. Being that this is a child, the dosage and testing may be different but similar. Tegretol side FX: If tegretol is causing excessive somnolence, it may be helpful to reduce the dose, or to use an alternative. In your history there are symptoms of poor sleeping and breathing difficulty. Could these be a factor also? Sometimes the two of these are related to a condition known as sleep apnea, which can itself cause somnolence, independent of medication. ...Read more
