Infection from dermabond wound. They have to have more than one symptom? My son has a fever. He's also teething 19 months old
Take him to doctor: If the wound appears red, swollen, feels like it has liquid, draining or smells bad it may be infected. This type of infection can cause a fever. Take him back to where he had the wound repaired so that they can evaluate him. Many times just a small little piece needs to be opened for drainage. I would not delay on having him evaluated by a doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can teething be the cause of a fever that my 15 month old son has had it for 2 days. He has no cold symptoms all he has is fever and crankiness?
13 month old has 100.5 fever and no other symptoms. She has been teething but teeth already came through. What can it be?
Variety of germs: The average 13mo will have 5-7 upper respiratory viruses of variable intensity/year. They will also have a couple of gut viruses & occasional ear infections or other issues.Since kids teethe during the same period the teeth are given the blame for many minor illnesses. As long as your kid is playful & taking fluids well you can let this run it's course. If the kid acts sickly an eval is worthwhile. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
My almost 6 month old has a fever of 102.3. Can he run fevers with teething? He has no other symptoms and is not fussy at all.
Due for an illness: I don't accept fever >101 as teething & am not sure it causes much stress in most infants. By 4mo the protective antibodies passed to baby during pregnancy have warn off & a kid is due for some random viral illnesses. If he is drinking well & wetting a diaper every 4-6h & playful for periods during the day, you may be able to monitor the situation at home.If he starts to act sickly, have him seen. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

What is pre teething? Can teething symptoms appear in a 10 week old? We have chewing, drooling, rubbing her face in her sleep, not sleeping well, etc. with no fever.
Of course: Your teeth just don't pop out of you gums like pop tarts out of the toaster. They have to cut their way through virgin gums that have never been cut through before. Your adult teeth don't do this because a path is already there. However, when baby's first teeth are coming in, there are weeks if not months of cutting through those gums, which includes the drooling, fussy etc etc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
