My baby is 8/12 old, his temp is 39 for the last 4 days, i don't know why? He has no flu no cough nothing but he start teething is that normal ?
Probably a virus: At 8 1/2 months old they teeth still. When teething their resistance is down and they are more prone to pick up illnesses, especially viruses. Without other symptoms at this time it probably is a virus. If you are worried there is never harm in getting baby checked by your doctor. Fevers in that range are common for babies that age with most viral infections but should break in 3-5 days. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My 3 year old son has a slight flu, cough and body heartiness. Temperature reading is 37.6 c and has teething discomfort. Should I be worried and what?
Teething: Not sure of hyland products, but a pacifier, ortho, should help due to positive pressure in the bite, and a refrigerated pacifier will ease the pain due the soothing effect of cold on pain due to the easing of inflammation. Softer food for the child will also help. No too warm food. If the child is acting especially uncomfortable with certain foods, use different. If fever persists, see pediatric. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

My 16 week old is teething & drooling a lot and has had a stuffy nose/slight cough for 2 days. Could these be related?
No. Nasal congestion: & cough are symptoms of a viral upper respiratory illness. Teething does not cause fever, diarrhea or any other symptoms not related to the gums , although some babies have pain & irritability. Drooling at 4 months does not necessarily mean a baby is teething, just that the salivary glands are beginning to function. The central lower incisors usually erupt first, around 6 months. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
8 month baby - running nose, no temp, full dirty nappies, cough and teething? Is it all connected to her teething?
Might not: It looks like your child might have a viral upper respiratory infection presenting with congestion, runny nose, then loose stool or even diarrhea. Make sure he or she gets plenty of fluid or water and give him/her baby tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil if fevers develop. Symptoms might last for a week or so. Bring your child to see a doctor if symptoms do not improve. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Current dose: 1tab/day ~4pm
Reflux (cough) worse during teething / flu / - cry/stir night time.
Depends on factors: How much drug should be used depends on age, weight, symptoms, duration of use, etc... In the U.S., we have Nexium (esomeprazole), where the recommended dose for a 24-lb toddler is about 10 mg each day, for short-term use. Not sure if Losec (omeprazole) is approved for infants or toddlers in the U.S., but studies in adults suggest that the two drugs can be used in similar doses in adults. ...Read more

My 5 month old acts like he is teething. He is congested and has a bad cough. He isn't sleeping well and seems exhausted. This is day three and there is no fever yet. Whatshould i do?
Nasal congestion: At 5mo the primary cause of congestion are irritants or colds. House dust, fragrance, perfumes, detergent or cleaning products all leave scents that don't bother adults but irritate a babies nose.
