Don't use it: Tea tree oil will just irritate the area more. It's the last thing to used for jock itch or other red irritation in the groin area. You probably need either an antifungal or antibiotic cream Best to check with a doctor, but if you want to try to treat yourself, start with an antifungal. Uncertain diagnosis: Well, I'm confused about why you would be given antibiotics for "jock itch" as that is a fungal skin rash. That can become infected with skin bacteria after it's been scratched at, but then you would still need an antifungal cream or oral antifungal medication to clear it up. Tea tree oil can also be irritating to that area of the body and cause allergic dermatitis. need to see MD ASAP no sex yet. ...Read more

You state you : Have a rash, and you state you put athletes foot creams on it. Maybe, they don't get better because a rash is not a fungus. Usually, a rash is an inflammatory condition of the skin. You might want to try an over the counter cortisone cream. If no improvement see the dermatologist. ...Read more

May not get color: Sounds like you have a patch of vitiligo or other problem that caused pigment to go away. Some fungal infections can itch, and some can cause pigment change (pityriasis rosa or alba). Vitiligo can spread and be very traumatic. Best to be seen to get a clear diagnosis. ...Read more

Recurrent BV...: ...is the best bet. Tea tree oil and garlic will not help, and I doubt hydrogen peroxide will either. Probably you will need another 7 day course of oral metronidazole. After that, vaginal metronidazole (MetroGel®) or boric acid vaginal capsules often are effective in preventing recurrence. If your doc is unfamiliar with these, find a gyn with interest in infectious diseaseas. Good luck! ...Read more
