What is considered the number one way or method of using tea tree oil on acne?

Adjunct: It's a moderately strong estrogen which is probably how it exerts its effects. Some young men get breasts from using it. There are much more effective ways of treating acne (benzoyl peroxide, physician-prescribed meds), and if somebody is preventing you from getting effective treatment because of a superstitious preference for "natural healing", you have my sympathy. Call your doctor. Cheers. ...Read more

Hi docs, do you think it's alright not to dilute tea tree oil for acne?

Hi docs, do you think it's alright not to dilute tea tree oil for acne?

It's your call: And not your best choice. It's an estrogen, and if you're a man, you're at risk for getting breast development. Use it as an adjunct. Your best friend is either a salicylic acid wash or topical benzoyl peroxide. They are less pleasant but more likely to work. If you're not clear in two weeks, get with your physician. Best wishes. ...Read more

Hi..
I have oily skin
Can i use tea tree oil for acne???

Adjunct treatment: Tea tree oil contains estrogens and may help; it's also caused guys like you to grow breasts. Preventing / managing acne usually requires some experimenting, and I'm going to assume you're already using topical retinoic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide. If this isn't sufficient, your physician can add prescription-strength Rx. Acne's not curable but can be managed until it remits on its own. Cheers. ...Read more

Will tea tree oil help fade post acne blemish marks?

Will tea tree oil help fade post acne blemish marks?

No: No scar can be completely removed. Tree oil is a mild antibiotic and has a limited effect against mild acne in the acute stage, and is less irritating than other over-the-counter preparations. Can drinking tea tree oil get rid of acne scars?

Can drinking tea tree oil get rid of acne scars?

No: It is a weak estrogen and has given men gynecomastia. It is the one topical remedy for active lesions of acne for people who belong to cults that allow only plant-based medicine. I would urge these people to wise up, especially if they're responsible for a teen's physical and emotional health.
