Does hemorroids cause ribbon like ir pencil like stools?

Does hemorroids cause ribbon like ir pencil like stools?

Need an exam: If you have pencil like stools you either have very very large hemorrhoids (which would be very obvious) or something more worrisome. You should find someone to look and examine you as well as possibly perform a colonoscopy . If you have hemorrhoids that big, they also need to be dealt with because you can become completely obstructed and not be able to pass stools! ...Read more

Is laser tattoo removal safe for tattooed eyelids?

Is laser tattoo removal safe for tattooed eyelids?

No: The difficulty here is to do with the type of laser. This could cause permanent visual problems including blindness when performed over the eyelid. There are however centers that have special contact lenses that could go over your eye during the procedure should this be necessary. This is a very delicate area and in your case should only be performed by someone who specializes in this technique given the associated risks. ...Read more

Pale red dots on cheek. 18 years old. Always wore sunscreen. Never had acne. Hyper pigmentation? Underlying freckles? Uneven skin tone? Narrow down?

Pale red dots on cheek. 18 years old. Always wore sunscreen. Never had acne. Hyper pigmentation? Underlying freckles? Uneven skin tone? Narrow down?

Sorry...: But is sounds like you have narrowed down your options about as much as anyone can without actually seeing the lesions that you are referring to. Instead of narrowing it down, I could add other possibilities but that would be fruitless. If you are interested in an actual answer you will need to see a physician (primary care or dermatologist). Take care. ...Read more

Are all black moles cancerous? Smaller than the shape of a pencil eraser. Not bumpy, almost looks like a circle. On skin layer that isn't expose much

Not all, but some : Black moles are very worrisome for skin cancer, especially melanoma. It is hard to answer your question without an examination. It is concerning when moles change - change in size, color, become irregularly shaped, itch, bleed. Most moles are relatively easy to remove and test. Please see your primary doctor or a surgeon to see if this needs to be removed and tested. ...Read more

Brown/tan color freckle on top of right chest bit darker then skin tone gyno thinks its a freckle doesn't itch 4mm size & asymmetrical is itskin cancer?

Probably not: However, since you asked us, you will certainly want to take it to a dermatologist. We can't diagnose at a distance on just a description. Many people have a lentigo or two on the upper body that looks out of place, and if a person feels uncomfortable about it, it's often wise to trust their intuition and simply remove it. ...Read more

3mmx2mm drk brown mole on breast appeared in pg (now 3mo pp) Flat, smooth, even color. It peeled in bath & black skin cameaway. Mole now a bit lighter but still flat&smooth&even. Could this be melanoma?

Possibly: It's really difficult to diagnose skin lesions without examining them. But you describe a black color to the mole, and a relatively quick development over a few months. Those are potential warning signs for skin cancer. A good physical examination, and very possibly a biopsy, would be prudent next steps. Please see your doctor and make those arrangements. ...Read more

Could a flat mole (single freckle/beauty mark) become cancerous like regular past the surface moles do?

Could a flat mole (single freckle/beauty mark) become cancerous like regular past the surface moles do?

Yes: The presence of a flat mole, one that is irregular in shape and has variegated colors withi grey and dark brown areas represent the superficial moles that undergo malignant transformation leading to a nodular growth. The superficial melanomas less than 1mm thick are for the most part in-situ but as thickness (Breslow) develops , not so much as depth of penetration (Clark),it is now invasive. ...Read more
