Attention seeking?: I imagine this depends on the person making such a statement, as it implies a judgment rather than an assessment of facts. Needs to be seen...: If this is the case there many ailments that can be life threatening at this time due to the rapid weight loss and changes in behavior. I am to sure how serious is her mental illness but you want to call her mental heath provider for advise on how to talk to her into seeing a doctor for evaluation.
