Several studies have shown an increase in ovarian cancer with talc use as high as 300% after daily use for 25 years. What can be done about itching in skin folds? The itching is more intense when bathing in warm water. Medicated talcum powder gives only temporary relief. Antibiotic ointments only seem to make it worse. Cortisone cream has no effect one way or the other.

The curcumin ; resveratrol are anti-inflammatory ; anti-oxidant with neuroprotective effects. There is a study suggesting capsaicin may damage neurons in 10 day old rats. Yes: Baby powder is a simple & effective product. I prefer the non-starch materials. Placing starch on the moist skin of a baby is like setting out food for germs. Beware that babies have developed pneumonia when they inhaled quantities of talcum powder in a changing table accident.
