I : I would see a dermatologist who can hopefully pinpoint the exact cause of your rash. It could be intertrigo, fungal, eczema, psoriasis (inverse type), allergy, or several other possibilities. Talcum unlikely prob: Studies show that talcum powder, which is a silicate like asbestos, is not likely to cause ovarian cancer. Studies investigated the introduction of talc on talc dusted diaphragms and condoms and concluded that it was not likely the cause. Correlation, not causation. Maybe: Great question. There is some data that talc crystals have been found on surface ovarian cancers increasing the suspicion that talc is involved in ovarian cancer. There is also data that getting a tubal ligation, which can prevent talc crystals from getting to ovary, can decrease the risk of ovarian cancer. However, the exact answer is not known.
