Taking Zofran Ondansetron
I am currently taking Zofran (ondansetron) 8mg. Today I took one at 10am, then again at 4pm and then again at 9pm. Was that bad to take that many in one day? Will I have any side effects from taking that many?
I'm taking Zofran (ondansetron) for morning sickness but it's causing constipation, what can I do to treat the constipation from this?

Taking Zofran (ondansetron) odt for nausea. Doc said I could double 4mg tablets. I took 2 tablets 4 hours ago is it okay take another dose?
In general, zofran (ondansetron) is made for short-term usage, and if it has not gotten your symptoms under control yet, adding more is unlikely to help. If, however, it was helping and has worn off, taking one additional tablet would be okay. Again, in the short-term.

More's not better: Zofran (ondansetron) may slow the transit time in the gut and rarely the bowels can stop moving. Therefore, potential to prolong the period in wh/a virus is in contact w/the gut. In a study in children w/vomiting gastroenteritis who took zofran (ondansetron) x 48 hrs, return to the er w/diarrhea was higher in the kids w/zofran (ondansetron). What are the chances I get qt prolongation or abnormal heart rhythm from taking Zofran (ondansetron) 4mg tabs for nausea?
Unlikely-but watch : Zofran (ondansetron) can cause qt prolongation which can produce dangerous cardiac arrhythmias and even sudden cardiac death. This would be unlikely at this dosing but should be watched for particularly if low potassium or calcium, or familial qtprolongation (such as in familial sudden cardiac death).
