Taking Two Zyrtec
Will taking two Zyrtec help dry up fluid in the Eustachian Tube faster? Or would it just make it worse?
Neither: fluid in the middle ear can be due to several reasons, infection is one of them, whether viral or bacterial, Eustachian tube dysfunction is another, so relieving the congestion by whatever means is the mainstay in therapy, antihistamines do little in relieving congestion. Saline nasal washes, salt water gargles, steroid nasal sprays, antibiotics, if needed, may help, your doctor would judge better ...Read more
11 month old - cough at night and chest congestion since 2 wks. Taking zyrtec (cetirizine) n terbutaline sulphate orally. Is Nebulisation needed?
Would make an appoin: Virus are very common this time a year. Prolonged viruses or colds sometimes can turn into something more serious. Do you regularly flush your nose with a saline/ baking soda solution? ...Read more

Xolair now approved: Xolair (omalizumab) is now approved for chronic hives. It has been used for many years for allergic asthma. While it is expensive, there are programs to help cover the cost.
