Wrong dose: Your dose of Suboxone is too low to adequately cover your withdrawal symptoms. You are tapering the dose of your Suboxone and it is not working. You need a higher dose i.e. 8mg twice a day. Talk to your doctor and get some relief from your withdrawals. Best wishes! ...Read more

Don't know: BUT I WOULD NOT TAKE A CHANCE...Furthermore if you are taking Suboxone as a part of a addiction recovery program this would certainly violate your contract!

Hope this helps

Is 12-15 hours long enough time after taking oxycodone to take Suboxone without getting early withdrawal?

Depends: If you're taking Suboxone to treat opiod drug addiction, you should wait until you experience some signs of withdrawal, then begin it. If you're taking it for chronic pain, 12-15 hours is certainly not long enough for sustained release oxycodone, and prob not long enough for immediate release oxycodone. For that I recommend about 20 hours. ...Read more

Is it okay to take oxycodone after being on suboxone?

Is it okay to take oxycodone after being on suboxone?

Time frame: Several points:
first suboxone has two drugs in it and one is a blocker. If the blocker is there, then at best you won't get any feffect of the oxycodone; at worst there MIGHT be withdrawal.
Second, the other drug is strong--over 10 times stronger so if you are on 8 buprenorphine a 10 mg oxycodone won't feel like much.
third, tolerance is unpredictable and might be SMALL on suboxone.
ok if > 5d ...Read more

How long should I wait to take Suboxone after my last dose of oxycodone? I can't wait 24 hrs.

If you are dependent: on oxycodone, and you take Suboxone BEFORE you are in active withdrawal, you will very much wish you had waited!! SUboxone will cause precipitated withdrawal in people who are not already in withdrawal, and precipitated withdrawal is far more severe than naturally developing withdrawal, and can actually be life-threatening, with seizures, delirium and very very severe withdrawal symptoms. ...Read more

I was put on Suboxone in order to stop prescribed oxycodone for pain. How long should it take to get off Suboxone?

Give yourself time: You might consider attending a mutual support group like Narcotics Anonymous, and find a sponsor who is taking Suboxone. Rushing to get off of the medication may incur the risk of relapsing on more dangerous opiates. ...Read more

May I take an oxycodone 10 mg for pain relief after being on 4mg suboxone daily for 7 days?

Yes and no: a single oxycodone tablet will add some additional narcotic effect, but if the goal is to reduce dependence on opiates, taking more oxycodone goes in the opposite direction. You should have a treatment plan with parameters for how to manage your pain that your doctor and you agree to together. ...Read more

If already in withdrawal from Oxycodone, can I take the suboxone without gettin precipitated WD even if it's only been 15-17hrs since last dose of oxy?

If already in withdrawal from Oxycodone, can I take the suboxone without gettin precipitated WD even if it's only been 15-17hrs since last dose of oxy?

Most likely: officially, you need to wait at least 24 hours. Practically, many people do it and even earlier. Legally, you need to do it in the presence of your doctor. Practically, if you are sweating, have muscle cramps, goosebumps, diarrhea – you can do it. Just start with a very small piece of the film to test if you are not precipitating further problems. good luck. Get treatment. ...Read more

I am having trouble quitting oxycodone/suboxone. How long are these withdrawal symptoms supposed to last?

I am having trouble quitting oxycodone/suboxone. How long are these withdrawal symptoms supposed to last?

Quiting Opiates: Suboxone is used to help with addiction to opiates like oxycodone. Maybe you need to get yourself on a maintenance dose of Suboxone which you can then slowly taper off over time. In my experience, patients often will need to stay on Suboxone for about half the amount of time they abused opiates. So, if a person took oxycodone for 4-5 years, they may need the Suboxone for a couple of years. ...Read more

Would it b dangerous to stop doing 210mg of Oxycodone HCL daily (been using for 4 mths) cold turkey for 15-20 hours then take suboxone at hr 15-20?

See a doctor: You should have medical supervision and not try to do this on your own. If you take the Suboxone too soon, it can precipitate withdrawal. Also, if you have never taken the Suboxone, you need to be monitored during induction. You should see a doctor with experience in managing opiate withdrawal and familiarity with Suboxone maintenance therapy. ...Read more
