I've been taking Effexor (venlafaxine) 75mg for almost 5 months, can I start taking two a day if I feel my dose isn't working?

Not bad, but...: It's not bad for you, but stopping Effexor (venlafaxine) all at once can often cause people to feel horrible, with headaches, malaise, fatigue, and other symptoms. If it doesn't do that to you, and doesn't cause mood changes or a rebound in your pain, it's probably ok. Not a good idea: Effexor (venlafaxine) should be taken in the morning to improve depression, increase mental energy, and to prevent insomnia. If you take NyQuil because you cannot sleep, you might benefiting from the 25-50 mg of diphenhydramine (Benadryl) on it. Please seek advise regarding insomnia right away to prevent further problems. You mean "tired?": It's common for people to have a side effect of fatigue & tiredness on Effexor. I'm assuming that's what you mean when you use that big "H" word.
