I started allopurinol 2 weeks ago and now have a gout attack should I stop and take colchicine or take both together?

After three days start Allopurinol 100mg x 1wk, 200mg x 1wk, and then the full dose. The cochicine can be cut back to once daily. ...Read more

Probably naproxen: Naproxen has been used for many years to treat acute episodes of gout-colcichine has been used longer but has more side effects if pushed.Celebrex (celecoxib) is an N SAID too but used more for having less gastrointestinal side effects.
