Seems like long time: I would check with pcp. He probably had culture and sensitivity on the urine and should be treating according to this. I would advise ultrasound of kidney. You may have hydro which will have to addressed by urologist or pyleo in which case, the treatment may need to be intensified. Had a back pain which apparently is caused by a urine infection but now I seem to have a sharp prolonged pain at the right hand side of my hip joint.
Trochanteric bursiti: If U were laid up 4 a while, & slept on that side a lot, U can develop bursitis over the prominence of the femur about where U describe. Need urine re-tested: U may still have an active uti. Antibiotics u r taking may not be effective against the bacteria causing your UTI so u may need to be on a different antibiotic. Back pain means possible kidney involvement, pyelonephritis, which needs to be looked into. You probably need a kidney ultrasound. Possibilities are-- cyst or cysts that are infected and bleeding, abscess, stone or calcinosis, unresolved pyelonephritis, papillary necrosis or infarction, or invasive cystitis.
