Starting: Starting to exercise is hard on the body especially when you were inactive. It sounds like the "insanity" workout is too stressful on your back. You would probably benefit from stopping "insanity" and then start with a beginner workout and slowly build up to "insanity". Last thing you want is to hurt your back. Hi.: Hi. Cannot diagnose the reason your period stopped. However, if it stopped after you began doing workout insanity with two extra hours per day of physical activity, that could be causitive. If your body is not used to a high level of exercise, the stress could be impacting your menses. Over-exercising and rapid weight loss are also possible reasons for lack of your period. If you were previously deconditioned and began an intensive work out program, you may need to take breaks on certain days or decrease on the aggressiveness of your program. If you were losing weight rapidly, this may need to slow. Also, if you have been sweating, moving a lot, and losing weight, your body may be detoxifying, which might also impact your health. Make sure you get in at least 8 -8 oz glasses of water per day. Give your doctor a call if this doesn't turn around. Take care. ...Read more

Take a break: A little less insanity and some ice to the ankles. I think they are being a little overworked. Check and see if you have flatfeet or overly pronate if you do, an orthotic in your sneakers would help take some pressure off the ankles when performing your workouts. ...Read more
