Maybe. Why take it?: Green coffee bean extracts have caffeine, which is a stimulant. It should not affect one's blood sugar much, but nobody knows for sure. There are other plant chemicals in the extract as well. Most likely, green coffee is not well regulated nor well studied, so it may contain uncertain amounts of listed ingredients, plus various amounts of unlisted ingredients.
