Olive oil is great: Olive oil is an omega 9 fat and is extremely healthy. Its regular use in a mediterrean diet has been shown to decrease heart disease, diabetes, and decrease inflammation. Lemon pepper is basically lemon juice spiced with pepper to help add flavor. It has not been associated with true medical benefits and the detox programs using it are not studied. I think its great to add for taste though.

Absolutely: Let's clarify - over-the-counter drugs (otcs) are virtually the same medications as prescription ones except that they've been granted the freedom to be sold without prescription due to their "benign" profile. Supplements are not medications in and of themselves. They are more or less "naturally" derived preparations that are used for the same purpose as meds. Some of them can be as effective too.
Does peppermint oil supplement need to be "enteric coated" for it to benefit the colon? I have bowel issues such as diarrhea and spasm.
No: Pepper slightly increases your metabolism but you'd have to eat a whole lot to have any noticeable weight loss. It is far better than using salt though. The key is portion control and proper dietary choices though. Pepper is just a condiment.
