No: I wouldn't put them on the same spot. The clindamycin is for infection. Salicylic acid is for muscle soreness. If you need to use them on the same spot, it would be better to wait and use tham after the infection is gone. Otherwise space them apart as far as is possible. They will both absorb alright, but you don't want one to block the absorption of the other ...Read more

There are acne meds like Azelaic Acid gel that may help lighten dark spots, too. ...Read more

Acne: All of the medicines are safe and effective for acne. They work by different mechanisms and I often use all of them together. My dermatologist prescribed clindamycin gel and tretinoin gel (two separate tubes) but didn't give application instructions. Which goes on first?
My recs: Clinda gel should be twice a day and at night use a pea sized amount of the retinoid first then the clinda. Less is more with a retinoid. More is more irritating, not more effective. You also must be using a benzoyl peroxide wash or the bacteria will become resistant to the clinda. So, wash twice daily with bpo, clinda 2x/day, and retinoid nightly as 1st step. Cerave pm moist last at night. ...Read more
