Is it still possible for Polyneuropathy to be caused by HIV if your T-Cell count has always been around 6/700 and you've always been undetectable since diagnosis? My new PCP doesn't seem to make sense

Not sure/depends,,,: It'd likely depend on how long you've been HIV pos., and if you've had infections, etc. for a while. The risk for symptoms and issues of HIV/AIDS like PCP are higher if the T cell count is under 200, but it doesn't mean it's not there if the count is higher. If you've got fever, cough, and night sweats, it likely means something is there but it can be there anyway, just not as likely. Good luck ...Read more

Need to follow up with your doctor/hematologist with repeat tests, second or even third opinion is your right as a patient, good luck ...Read more
