Can I take holy basil with celexa and synthroid (thyroxine)? Will this cause any interactions?

Can I take holy basil with celexa and synthroid (thyroxine)? Will this cause any interactions?

Apparently safe: There are no known interactions between holy basil and these medicines (it does interact with coumadin, (warfarin) but so does almost everything). It might slightly speed elimination of Celexa but this is not likely clinically significant. Holy basil is one of my favorite herbs, with many benefits; it's calming, anti-inflammatory, supports adrenals, lowers blood sugar. See http://www. Holy-basil. Com/6865.Html. ...Read more

Any negative effects of buspar (buspirone)? Alcohol interactions? I'm on propranolol. Synthroid. And vitamin d daily.

All meds have some: No known interactions between buspar, (buspirone) Propranolol and synthroid.
There are cautions for known sensitivity to that drug class, recent use of MAO inhibitors (a type of antidepressant) or use in the setting of kidney or liver problems.
Generally well-tolerated, but here is a link to possible side effects:

Maybe!: 1. Consult with your treating physician to get a specific answer for your conditions.
2. A lot depends on the dose of the medications, when you take them, what you are taking them for, and how long you have been taking them.
3. If your thyroid replacement is not enough, you could have more side effects.
4. You may be completely fine if the medicines are done carefully.

What should I avoid taking alongside my synthroid?

What should I avoid taking alongside my synthroid?

Potentially: Hundreds of other meds might interact in some way with Synthroid. Your doctor can run an interaction check between Synthroid & your other Rx's. In general, however, if you take Synthroid 2 hours after and 1/2 hour before meals, other meds, mineral & fiber supplements and antacids, you will avoid most interactions with Synthroid. Best wishes!
