My mouth is sore since yesterday, worse today. Especially the tip of my tongue, my gums are very sensitive too, and I tasted saltiness. Not burned.

Possible fungal: Chalky taste can come several maladies starting in the oral cavity and going down the digestive tract. See your dentist to start diagnosing the cause and getting it treated.
Could be 2 things: A bloody mouth means an infection. Usually it is the gums. This would be gingivitis. If gingivitis is not treated it turns into periodontal disease. The metallic taste could be from metal fillings. Find a dentist that will listen to you. In exchange you can listen to him/her and hopefully come up with something conclusive for you. Reflux: Ur tasting what ever is coming up from reflux. Other possibility would b side effect of medication. U can call ur pharmacist to run through ur list of medication to c if any of them cause this side effect.

The meds you are still taking may be causing this but you should check with your md before going off them to be safe. URI: These symptoms suggest an infection of the upper respiratry tract-probably viral. If there are fevers, sweats, worsening cough, more chest discomfort on inspiration, wheezing, get checked for more serious bacterial infection including pneumonia. Otherwise take a nonprescription cough syrup for soothing relief.

My mouth has been dry as cotton for the past two days no matter how much water I drink. I'm not hungry either and when I do eat food tastes funny. No other symptoms.
