Symptoms Of Soy Intolerance In Adults
Hi,is it possible to have milk allergy and lactose intolerance at the same time?Because if I will drink cow and soy milk, the symptoms will be the same
Confusing question: Studies show that around 40% of those with bovine milk allergy will have a soy allergy. Lactose is the sugar in bovine milk and about 1/4 adults are lactose intolerant. Some confuse lactose intolerance with milk allergy, they are not the same. This can show up in childhood or emerge later. ...Read more
Allergies: There is, but it takes quite a lot of time. There are allergy clinics that can do immunotherapy - essentially, they take an extremely small amount of the substance that causes you grief, and inject it under your skin. My son was just diagnosed last night with lactose intolerance so i bought soy formula but he wont drink more than 3 ozs. Should i be concerned?
My grandson is 5months old. He had a milk and soy intOlerance. He was put on neocate. Dr and allergist claim he can't react. He is breaking out in a r?
No rash from Neocate: You mention food intolerance, but it is most probably allergy. You don't describe the rashes. Are they hives, or ongoing eczema (atopic dermatitis, AD)? Neocate is unlikely to cause rashes. Nexium definitely may cause rashes. Also, if your grandson has AD, he may break out even if not fed an allergenic food. Have another conversation with his allergist. Also, www.aaaai.org, www.nationaljewish.org. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
More palateable: Either formula will work, however, there is an issue with palatability of the infant to tolerate the formula. Thus, its a matter of trying out the formula. Historically the soy based formula is more popular and also less expensive and readily available. Rice formula tends to be sold in certains stores. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

5 week old has very hard stools that come out as hard balls every 3 days. On soy formula due to lactose intolerance. What can I give to help her go?
Hi, Doc have doubted lactose intolerance my 9m old baby, started soy base milk but since then her poo has bcome green & she has got v bad diaper rash.
See below: The color of the stool is related to how quickly food and fluids move through the intestine and how much is reabsorbed, as well as how much bile is in the stool. The diaper rash may be temporary with the change in formula and stool consistency, but if it's lasting, you should call her doctor to discuss. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
