What are the symptoms of sleeping on a bad mattress?

What are the symptoms of sleeping on a bad mattress?

Besides: Back pain? A "bad mattress" is in the back of the sleeper. If you are getting non-restorative sleep; waking frequently; have neck and back pain, that's a "bad mattress" for you. One size does not fit all. Good sleep hygeine is also important and cannot be underestimated, either.

If u have a bad back which is the best mattress to sleep on hard or soft?

If u have a bad back which is the best mattress to sleep on hard or soft?

Good?: I have had a bad back ; put up with an l5-s1 disk ; leg pain 4 about 7 years. Had a lami in 1982 ; have had no trouble since. During my horrible 7 years I found a firm mattress best. However after performing about 500+ laminectomy's I found every patient was different in their choice of mattresses, some even preferred water beds. B 4 u spend $ try one out. Many places allow u 2 use 4 a while @hom.

Sleeping on a box spring, can't buy mattress, back hurts with knots, how can I fix this? Is there permanent damage from a bad bed?

Sleeping on a box spring, can't buy mattress, back hurts with knots, how can I fix this? Is there permanent damage from a bad bed?

No: Box spring just lifts mattress off of floor. If it feels lumpy to you some of the insulating material may have deteriorated. You may be feeling the springs. If you have some extra blankets toss them on top of the box spring as physical insulation. Hold out if you can for the spring sales.

Excessive night sweats, bad sleep, back pain since 2 weeks. Can this be due to my new foam mattress and using two blankets as the room is quite cold?

Excessive night sweats, bad sleep, back pain since 2 weeks. Can this be due to my new foam mattress and using two blankets as the room is quite cold?

Not necessarily: As a mattress change can affect your sleep and cause back pain, but less likely night sweats. Some mattress/sheet combos do not breath well, so I can't say it's impossible that it's all related to the mattress/blanket combo. But I would try to switch over to a lightweight cotton (or other natural) fiber blanket and see how you feel. Otherwise, seek an in-person eval for other issues at hand.

Nocturnal cough: You may be allergic to something in your bedroom such as a down pillow, a dusty bedroom, or may be sleeping with an open window. Check your environment or see an allergist for help.

Why do drs. Say see shrink if cant sleep or have headaches. An night sweats. Do all women in the 50, s need a shrink from bad menapause symptoms.?

No shrink/see below: Night sweats: there are many potential causes to sweating at night. The term night sweats generally refers to excessive sweating at night related to a hormone imbalance. There is no one answer to explain the origin of sweating at night. Some common causes are: infection, some cancers, several medications, low blood sugars and a host of other less common reasons. Were going to focus in on the hormone imbalance commonly seen in menopause, although by no means limited to menopause. We have seen a common night sweats picture in the men with prostate cancer with elevated estrogen levels. Swelling often starts around your neck. We generally start with saliva testing which allows us to identify what the hormone imbalance actually is and treat accordingly. When we don't start with saliva testing we very often get very good success with progesterone cream in the form of wild yam cream. There are many different preparations of wild yam cream on the market and often the preparation does not have enough progesterone cream to be effective. The above is the simple answer the better answer is to work with a healthcare professional who has experiencing natural hormone therapy. In withdrawal from fentanyl for 4 weeks now. Off patch for 5 days, aggitated, still unable to sleep, and itching badly. How do I ease these symptoms?

In withdrawal from fentanyl for 4 weeks now. Off patch for 5 days, aggitated, still unable to sleep, and itching badly. How do I ease these symptoms?

See your GP: Fentanyl is a strong form of opiate and the immediate stoppage can only cause withdrawal (not fatal but it sure feels bad). Consider asking your gp for a reduced dose or another form of opiate that you can more gradually reduce. Also consider changing from xanax (alprazolam) to Klonopin and weaning off of that as well. There are antidepressants that would be safer for your conditions in the long term.

Off prednisone for over 2 weeks and still having bad withdrawals. Was only on it for a week to treat bronchitis symptoms. How long to sleep well again?

Off prednisone for over 2 weeks and still having bad withdrawals. Was only on it for a week to treat bronchitis symptoms. How long to sleep well again?

Something else: I don't think what you're experiencing has anything to do with the short course of prednisone. Consider looking in other areas to find the cause. Hope this helps!

Doubtful: Hi none of your symptoms suggest parkinsons which is a very rare disease in your age group. That said, you can't diagnose yourself - see your family doc.

Can fatigue and a whoozy head, and feeling like I have flu like symptoms when I haven't. be due to Crohn's disease. I feel so bad and want to sleep.

Can fatigue and a whoozy head, and feeling like I have flu like symptoms when I haven't. be due to Crohn's disease. I feel so bad and want to sleep.

Crohns dx whoozy: How long have you had Crohns disease? What medications are you on? Sinusitis-due to reflux can cause fatigue and whoozy -occurs in Crohns. Check for H. Pylori. Try Prevecid. May be food intolerances-gluten/soy. Would also check TSH/T4 as you have Hashimotos. Autoimmune disease when active causes fatigue, as do meds. Get CBC, CMP, ESR, CRP, lyme u/a in older person. May need MRI f/u w/ doc

Hello I did lot of blood test and spine MRI neuro I have diagnosed withpots but I have many cfs symtomps swollen lymph aches bad sleep forget tired?

POTS: Postural orthostatic syndrome has many features similar to cfs, but in pots there is increase in heart rate from the supine to the upright position of more than 30 beats per minute or heart rate greater than 120 bpm. However, the two may coexist, & treating pots improves cfs symptoms.

5yo woke up from sleep vomiting at 630am no other symptoms. Acting fine and hungry. I have bad anxiety and worried it's a brain tumor. Can it be?

5yo woke up from sleep vomiting at 630am no other symptoms. Acting fine and hungry. I have bad anxiety and worried it's a brain tumor. Can it be?

Ear Infection: You love your 5 yr old very much. I am empathic to your anxiety as you have gone through your child’s frequent ear infections and Eustachian tube dysfunction. Vomiting is not due to brain tumor as ‘he is acting fine” It is likely due to ear infection. It may be due to stomach flu, overeating, food allergy or anxiety.
