What are the typical symptoms of serositis? I have systemic lupus and get horrible abdominal pain.
In hosp for 9 days w multi organ serositis /sle. Out for a month. Still havie prob/pain. Dr suggest to go back up on pred dose. How long does it last?

Painful for awhile: You had sle and had a pleural effusion that resolved without tube thoracostomy. You are having pain in the chest and a hoarse voice. The pleural pain can last a while. Like pneumonia, pleurisy or inflammation of the lining of the chest does hurt. This could last a month? Use pain control with medications, ask for a pain consult from anesthesia.
