My tongue has been scalloped it's not going away and it feels as if I cleaned my tongue to much, and the top of my tongue has a very thin white layer.
Very normal for lots of patients. The tongue = very resilient area & the white coating is mostly caused by debris, bacteria & dead cells getting lodged between the enlarged & sometimes inflamed papillae. Now if you are unable to remove the layer I would have it evaluated by a dentist.

I have a scalloped tongue, feeling of cotton mouth, and decreased taste. I just ended azithromycin a week ago, along with Diflucan 4 days ago. Is this a concern? No white patches but a small coating on tongue/discolored.
Symptoms/signs are common after the use of a broad spectrum antibiotic...If the thrush is treated with antifungals you might try eating some yogurt to help "replace" the normal PH and bacteria in your mouth and on your tongue (a tongue brush may be helpful) Finally your DENTIST may have some advice!
Hope this is helpful!
