Hormonal suppression: Continuous use of birth control pills can cause regression of endometrial implants; Lupron is extremely effective in shrinking /causing regression of endometrial implants, as is the Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot. Surgery would be an option if the lesion is easily identifiable, but without hormonal suppression, endometriosis can recur since hormone production stimulates it's production. ...Read more

How long does the pain from a post rectus hematoma last? I had surgery on january 17th for a hydosalpinx, during the surgery the artery to the rectus muscle was nicked but not perforated. However, the pressure in the atery caused a tear and 6 days later

Sorry : Sorry to hear there. You pain shouldn't be getting worse. If it is you need to see a physician. However the pain may last for several weeks depending on the size of hematoma and it should slowly and certainly decrease as time goes by. Good luck.
