Doctor said pus in urine is just large amount of bacteria nothing to worry about.how is this possible and what do I do to treat it?
UTI: You may have misunderstood what the doctor said. They may have indicated that the reason for the "pus" was that you had an infection in which the number of bacteria was very high. Do the anti-Tb drugs help to overcome a condition of persistent blood and pus in urine after fulguration?
Urinary TB: TB or tuberculosis most commonly affects the lungs but the renal system can also be involved. Certainly the usual TB meds should help, but if there is no response I suspect resistance to the drugs may be a problem. India is known for some TB resistance. R/O KIDNEY STONE: UTI with Flank pain with those symptoms is concerning for kidney stone or kidney infection. You need a full exam labs urine C&S. 24 urine for stone analysis kidney ultrasound or CT.. And usually empiric antibiotic therapy pending the results.
