I have the pregnancy symptoms but have been on birth control and three tests have come back negative, what is wrong with me? I am 17 years old, I got the birth control shot in january and have been having sex with my boyfriend. I missed my last period,

I: I am glad that you had pregnancy testing. Hormone fluctuations, either from pregnancy, stress, weight changes, or for unknown reasons, can cause similar symptoms. If you have had ongoing symptoms however, you may need an evaluation. Be sure you are eating a healthy diet and are at a healthy weight (not too high or too low), as that can help stabilize hormone levels. ...Read more

I'm a week late and have symptoms of early pregnancy when would be the best time to take a pregnancy test and should I continue taking my birth control

If it turns out to be negative, it would be wise to see your doctor to repeat the test as you still could be pregnant, and get an exam in case there is another reason for the late period. ...Read more
