When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Yes, it's possible: Ectopic pregnancy, which is a pregnancy located outside of the normal location in the uterus, is possible after a tubal ligation procedure. However, the risk of any pregnancy, including ectopic pregnancy, is less than 1% (meaning 99 out of every 100 women who get their tubes tied will not get pregnant again, without in-vitro or other special techniques). ...Read more
Confusing question: If you became pregnant in spite of having your tubes tied, as happens with ivf fertility treatments, you can carry a baby to full term. With tubes tied, you don't have a natural pregnancy. The sperm cannot get to the egg. If one re- attached, and a fertilized egg made it to the uterus, it could carry to term. Tubal pregnancies will not survive and end up in emergency surgery. ...Read more

How long does it take for your tubes to grow back together if your tubes are tied an cut how many years. My tubes was tied n cut on feb.17 2010
BTL is forever:
If your fallopian tubes were cut, you had a bilateral tubal ligation, then you do not expect them to grow back together. Tubal ligation is a permanent sterilization procedure.
Sometimes, you can do surgery to reattach the tubes. And sometimes, rarely, the surgery fails and you can get pregnant.
Most of the time, if you want to be pregnant, ivf would be necessary. ...Read more

What does it mean when an ultrasound show a gestation sac and your tubes has been tied for 10 years.
Pregnancy: I can't comment on the viability of this pregnancy but if there's a gestational sac on ultrasound then you're pregnant and your tubes are definitely not tied anymore. It may have been working long ago, but there's always the 0.5% risk of failure. See a doctor to discuss your options for managing this pregnancy. ...Read more

I had an tubal ligation done on 04/06/09 and we doesn't have enough money to get my tubes reverse. Does red clover pills or tea help heal your tubes?
No: Once you have had a tubal ligation the only treatment is putting the tubes back together surgically. IVF had gotten so much better that it is often used instead because the pregnancy rate is higher. Sorry I can't give you better news. Even with insurance these are often not covered. ...Read more
Rare, but possible.: If you have had your tubes tied, it is not likely that you will become pregnant, but it IS possible! Also, if you did get pregnant, there would be a greater chance that that pregnancy would occur in one of your tubes, i.e., ectopic or tubal pregnancy. This can be dangerous. Get a pregnancy test! And go to the ER if you having any bleeding or one-sided pelvic/abdominal pain. Good luck. LGromkoMD ...Read more

Tubals can fail: Not very often but easy to check a urine preg test , if - and u are still worried see your gyn for a blood preg test which will be + a few days before the missed period and if u are preg- hopefully not - your obgyn needs to follow u closely since u would be more at risk for a tubal( ectopic pregnancy) due to the fact you had a tubal and the tubes were damaged by the tubal. ...Read more
Symptoms: Hi. No symptom is specific for any one condition or disease, and likewise, no condition or disease can be diagnosed by a symptom. Pregnancy after a BTL is vanishingly rare, so that should not be assumed based on symptoms. 26 is very young for menopause, but certainly not impossible. However, pregnancy and menopause symptoms have little, if any, overlap. Not a bad idea to talk with your gyn. ...Read more

Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more
