Depends: Many patients have polycystic-appearing ovaries found on sonograms, but still have normal monthly cycles where they release eggs - so fertility shouldn't be impaired.If one has pcos and irregular periods, then it means they aren't ovulating regularly and it can be harder (very hard) to conceive; sometimes they will require ovulation induction medications or infertility treatments. ...Read more

To work on it : Your weight gain is not related to gall bladder surgery, condition with polycystic ovary syndrome , do gain weight , will have fertility problem, some of them will suffer from hypertensions and diabetes , could be controlled , most of the time , by diet , work out , medications and regular follow up by your doctors. ...Read more

Any: Any of those are possible. Depo would not be my hormone of choice for your menstrual regulation, and of what i know about your case i would say that's the most likely cause of the unscheduled bleeding. Often women: ovulate infrequently, are overweight/obese, have difficulty getting pregnant, have acne/facial hair, Insulin resistance with higher risk of diabetes. First line treatment is hormonal birth control (pills-patch-ring). Treatment lowers risk of painful rupture and ovarian loss. Using metformin (diabetes drug) may help fertility. ...Read more
