High TSH of 28 after complete thyroidectomy four months ago, but I don't feel any hypothyroid symptoms beyond a little weight gain. What is going on?
43 yo healthy F, thyroidectomy 2012, on Synthroid (thyroxine) & Cytomel with continued hypothyroid symptoms. Would like to try Naturethroid. Will dr consider rx?

I had a thyroidectomy several yrs ago, and most recent labs reveal TSH is 0.6 and T4 is 1.5 . Y would I feel like I'm still hypothyroid symptoms?
Not likely: If you are having problems related to the size of your thyroid, such as choking symptoms, trouble swallowing or breathing, then thyroidectomy might help. I'm hypothyroidism, thyroidectomy 3 years ago, is it normal to have cold clammy feet? I had this before I got it taken out.
Could be: Thyroid disorders can cause several issues, including but not limited to cold or heat intolerance, etc. Other conditions, unrelated to thyroid can be a causative factor such as raynaud's syndrome, where a person can get cold feet and even cold hands at times.
